In addition to completing the Los Rios Community College District teacher education coursework requirements for transfer to the California State University Sacramento (CSUS) Blended Elementary Teacher Education Program (BETEP), you also need to do the following prior to transfer.

  • Plan on being a spring transfer to CSUS. Currently, transfer to the CSUS Blended Liberal Arts Program can occur only for a spring semester

  • Plan to attend CSUS fulltime. The CSUS Blended Liberal Arts Program.

  • Complete 2 semesters of college level foreign language classes OR have completed 3 years same language in high school, have graduated from a high school where English was not the primary language, have passed the AP exam, or be fluent in a language other than English (See CSUS Foreign Language Dept. for further details).

  • Maintain a 2.67 grade point average (GPA) in the transfer coursework.

  • Complete the application to California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) 

  • Take and pass the CSUS IAD -- Intermediate Algebra Diagnostic -- right after completing Math 

  • Take and pass the CSUS essay exam, the WPE -- Written Proficiency Exam

  • Take the CBEST after completing English and Math classes

  • Meet with CSUS Liberal Studies Advisor two semesters prior to transfer to CSUS and complete a Blended Teacher Education Program (BTEP) Pre Application
