The Information Technology Department (IT), under the direction
of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Information Technology
is responsible for services related to district-wide infrastructure
(network and cabling) and information systems (student services,
business services, library system, telephone system, voice-mail,
Internet, Web services, etc.)
Services related to Personal computers (PC) and Local-Area-Networks
(LAN) are the responsibility of each College. The IT Department
provides PC and LAN support for the District office locations.
IT generally provides four types of services:
- Problem Resolution Services (starts by contacting the
district IT Help Desk)
- Production Request Services (sent to the Production Control
unit of IT)
- Work Request Services (usually requires an ISWR form and
signature approval)
- District-wide Application Software Change Request (requires
IT Governance group approval)
