ESLG 50 Intermediate-Mid Grammar 4 Units
Prerequisite: Eligibility is determined by the Sacramento City College assessment process or completion of ESLW 40 with a grade of "C" or better.
Advisory: ESL 92, ESLL 50, ESLW 50, and ESLR 50, or other ESL courses at the appropriate level.
Hours: 72 hours LEC
Description: This course concentrates on the fundamental grammatical structures of English. Students will develop skill and accuracy in using these grammatical structures in appropriate contexts. There will be much oral and written practice with an emphasis on sentence structure and verb tenses.

Description: This course focuses on practice in the forms and meanings of major structures used in writing with an emphasis on clause structure. Oral practice reinforces the structures studied. Students practice writing extensively, both in and out of class. Assignments emphasize sentence structure in the context of longer written work.
