Description: This course provides students with an orientation to the history and trends in physical education, fitness, and sport. Students will be introduced to various career and professional issues in the physical education, kinesiology, and sports fields. An introduction in the major subfields including exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor learning, sport sociology, and sport and exercise psychology will be discussed.

Description: This course develops a mental understanding of sport performance in regards to the brain's impact on muscular activity. Prerequisite: PET 330 and 331 with grades of "C" or better or concurrent enrollment in PET 330 and 331 or proof of knowledge and skills of preventative taping and recognition of basic athletic injuries.

Description: The student will be exposed to soft tissue techniques, advanced athletic taping, and wrapping, emergency scenarios, physiology of injury recovery, and rehabilitation programs as prescribed by the teams physicians and supervision by a certified athletic trainer. Units are awarded on the basis of one unit per 60 hours of unpaid work or 75 hours of paid work. This course may be taken four times for a maximum of 16 units for credit.
