1.0 Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave

1.1 The purpose of the Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave Program is to establish a program where employees may donate eligible leave credits to a Catastrophic Illness or Injury Leave Bank that may be used by an eligible employee when that employee or a member of his or her immediate family suffers from a catastrophic illness or injury. The bank will be a pool available to any eligible employee from a participating bargaining unit or employee group.

1.2 Management and confidential employees are eligible to apply for a leave under the catastrophic leave program for classified and management personnel if they meet the criteria as specified in the regulation R-9239.
