1.0 Definition
2.0 Purpose1.1 Transfer is a change from one unit to another unit in the same position or from one position to another position.
1.2 Unit is defined as a college or the District Office.
2.1 The transfer of management or confidential employees shall be in the best interest of the District.
2.1.1 Employer-initiated transfers must be based on one of the following reasons: Abolishment of a management position; over-staffing; need for special preparation in a specific management area; need for improvement in staff relationships or management operations as determined by the Chancellor.
3.0 Authority
3.1 The Chancellor shall inform the Board prior to approving transfers.
