1.0 Authorization
1.1 The Los Rios Community College District Board of Trustees at the request of the Chancellor of California Community Colleges adopts a plan for Cooperative Work Experience Education. Such plan as adopted is included within appropriate Board policy and regulation. (Educ. Code 78240-78250; Educ. Code 84530; Title 5, 55250-55257)
2.0 Cooperative Work Experience Education Defined
2.1 Cooperative Work Experience Education provides students with on-the-job experience in business, government, public agencies and industry.
2.2 Students receive related instruction at the college; employers and coordinators agree on progressive experiences for the students; and employers report on the progress of the students periodically. Based on these reports and the coordinator's evaluations, an assessment of the student's progress is made.
