1.0 Probationary Status
1.1 Each employee appointed to a regular position shall serve a probationary period of one (1) year. (Education Code § 88013)
1.1.1 At designated times during the probationary period, the performance of the employee shall be reviewed by those having the responsibility for recommending permanent status.
2.0 Permanent Status
2.1 Upon satisfactory completion of the required probationary period, a regular classified employee shall achieve permanent status with the District. (See P-6151)
3.0 Status -- Unclassified Positions
3.1 Time spent in substitute, long-term temporary, short-term temporary, special services or student help positions does not count toward a probationary period in a regular position.
