    GEOG 334 - Introduction to GIS Software Applications
    This course provides the conceptual and practical foundations for using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. Emphasis is placed on basic GIS software functionality; display and attribute querying functions, address geocoding, beginning spatial database construction, spatial analysis, cartographic presentation, and spatial data management.

    GEOG 385    Introduction to Web Based GIS Application Development
    This course introduces the development of Web-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions. Web-authoring tools and Internet map servers (such as ArcIMS and ArcServer) are used to teach the techniques of Internet mapping and interactive user interface design for GIS applications. Focus is on the theories and principles behind Internet mapping to perform map display and spatial analysis, on GIS application development, and on Web design for Internet mapping systems. This course may be taken four times on a different software package or version.

  • Pre-Apprenticeship Adjunct Asst. Professor (Road, bridge, levee & rail infrastructure fields) -  
    The ARC Pre-Apprenticeship Program has openings for Pre-Apprenticeship Adjunct Assistant Professors who possess a combination of knowledge, skills and experience in infrastructure apprenticeship to teach courses within the Pre-Apprenticeship Program. 
    Requirements to teach in this program are
    Associate degree from an accredited college and four years of journey-level occupational experience in the subject matter area; OR six years of journey-level occupational experience in the subject matter area and completion of at least eighteen semester units of degree applicable college level course work in addition to apprenticeship credit; OR the equivalent*; OR hold a California Community College Instructor's Credential in the discipline area.

  • Certified Phlebotomy Adjunct Assistant Professor - This position is adjunct faculty and will be assigned to teach Phlebotomy classes at FLC.
