Overview of Recruitment Process
The District maintains open
pools for all adjunct disciplines (for listing of
disciplines, see navigation bar on left). These pools are used by all of our campuses and outreach
centers. As staffing needs arise at our campuses, our deans will review
the pools and contact those applicants they are interested in
interviewing.
Please keep in
mind that deans will often positions a semester or two
prior to the actual semester. There are also times
that adjunct faculty are needed to fill a last minute
void as well.
Applying to
an Adjunct Pool
All interested individuals can apply using our automated application
system at jobs.losrios.edu (no “www” in
front). You may use the "Search Postings" feature to search for
the discipline you are interested in applying to, or you
may select the "Adjunct Faculty" link at the top of the
page.
Updating Your
Application
Applicants are encouraged to
keep their application information up to date; this is
especially important of the contact information, so that
our deans may readily contact them when hiring is
occurring. To update your application or contact
information, please see the "How to Update Your
Application Submitted to a Pool" link to the left.
We will send an email reminder to applicants each year
reminding them to update their application, so that they
may keep themselves the most competitive as possible for
adjunct position openings.
