MKT 300    Principles of Marketing    3 Units

Prerequisite: None.
Advisory: BUS 100, ENGWR 101, or ESLW 340 with grades of "C" or better.

Description: This course provides a general overview of marketing principles. The course covers the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational goals. Elements of the marketing environment such as government regulation, environmental protection, competition, and consumer behavior will be analyzed.

Description: This course introduces the use of social media and other internet technologies, with an emphasis on the theory and practice of marketing in an electronic environment. Topics include the personalization and interactivity of the Internet to build strong customer relationships. These concepts are applied to traditional brick and mortar as well as exclusively online businesses.
