This is an off-season conditioning class open to any interested student with a particular emphasis on women's soccer student athletes for the fall 2013 season. Students will be required to demonstrate technical skill level sufficient to compete in intercollegiate soccer at the community college level via tryouts during the first week of the class. Students enrolled in this athletically-related class must present documented evidence of a physical administered by a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Physician┐s Assistant (P.A.) to remain enrolled in the class. A physical administered during the last calendar year (July 2, 2012 - June 30, 2013) is sufficient. Physicals completed prior to July 1, 2012 are not valid for enrollment in the summer 2013 class. In addition, students must complete and return the medical clearance packet and submit all required documents contained in the packet to remain in the class. Students are responsible for the cost of the physical when it is conducted by an M.D. or P.A. However, the college will reimburse students up to $25 at a later date. The reimbursement process information will be distributed to students at the first class session. Medical clearance packets can be obtained in FL2-144 (Cypress Hall) or by contacting the instructor at ribaudd@flc.losrios.edu. This class is offered at 1.0 units.
