Description: This is an overview of the visual arts including: drawing, sculpture, artifacts, architecture, painting, and printmaking. To remain in the course, enrolled Students must complete all of the first week's assignments and submit them to Canvas by Friday 5pm of the first week of classes (1/25/19). In order to complete this class, students may use the CRC Main Campus Computer Lab in LRC-204 or BS-145A, OR have access to a computer at home with the following minimum requirements: (1) connectivity to the Internet, (2) an activated Gmail account (3) Microsoft Word, and the following free downloads: Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player in the latest versions.

Description: This course traces the developments in art from pre-historic times through the 14th Century. Emphasis will be given to artifacts, architecture, painting, and sculpture. (C-ID ARTH 110)

Description: This course covers diverse art forms including painting, sculpture and architecture in Europe and America from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Styles discussed will include Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Symbolism, Art Nouveau and all the major Modern art movements of the 20th century such as Fauvism, Cubism, Expressionism, Dada, Surrealism, American Modernism, Pop Art, Happenings, Conceptual and Installation Art. This class will also cover Post-Modernism, Neo-Expressionism, Video Installations, and Globalization. A field trip to an art museum is required. (C-ID ARTH 150; Part of C-ID ARTH 120)
