Description: This course will provide an introduction to English at the Novice level, which is characterized by an emerging ability to read and write words, phrases and sentences common in high-frequency situations utilizing learned materials, standardized messages, phrases and expressions including certain content required for basic words, phrases and sentences introduced in the Listening/Speaking core text. In addition, students will learn basic rules, phonetics and basic grammar necessary to read and write comprehensibly.
