Description: This course is the first level of four courses which provide for a workshop training experience for students performing in their first role in a modern theatre production. Students interested in acting audition with the director for acting, singing or dancing roles. All students performing in productions may enroll in this class for one to three units at the discretion of the instructor. All students performing in productions may enroll in this class for one to three units at the discretion of the instructor. This course will rehearse and perform the children's play "The JungalBook" by Edward Mast. It is a contemporary adaptation of the original Rudyard Kipling tale. An information session on course content, expectations, structure, lab hours, assessment will be held on Monday, August 25 at 12:00 p.m. in the Black Box theatre. Students enrolled in this course must attend auditions on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 12:00 p.m. or Wednesday, Sept. 3rd at 3:00 in the Black Box theatre. Rehearsals are daily from 3:00 -6:00 p.m. or 6:00 -10:00 p.m. and students must be available to attend all scheduled rehearsals.
