TAP 360    Children's Theatre Performance I    1-3 Units

Prerequisite: None.
Advisory: TA 350 or 480
Enrollment Limitation: Students must audition and/or interview with the director to participate in this course.
Course Transferable to UC/CSU
Hours: 162 hours LAB
Description: This course is the first in a series of four courses that provide workshop training in the rehearsal and performance of children's theatre. It is designed for students with little or no prior theatre experience. Students audition or interview with the director for participation in a children's show. Field trips may be required. A portion of this course may be offered in a TBA component of 54-162 hours which may include acting, singing, dancing, and/or technical rehearsals and preparation. (C-ID THTR 191)

Join us this summer for a delightful play performed by college students for young audiences. It will be a flight of fancy including audience participation, and the opportunity for little ones to meet their favorite characters.The production will tour parks, schools and day-care centers in the area throughout July, and perform Saturday matinees at the Fair Oaks Park Clubhouse.  Produced in cooperation with the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival and the Fair Oaks Recreation and Parks District.


Audition Dates:  April 26  2-5pm, and April 27 7-10pm in the Amphitheatre at the Fair Oaks Park in the Old Fair Oaks Village. 
Rehearsal Dates:  June 8 - July 3, 2015
