It is required for most dismissed students for readmission to the college.

Learning Community -- Puente Project - 5 units - Class Registration Number 19314 This class (HCD 318) is taught in combination with ENGWR 300 (MW 12:00PM-1:20PM). The mission of the Puente Project is designed to increase the number of educationally underrepresented students who transfer to four-year Colleges and universities. Puente builds a community of motivated college students by providing English instruction in a supportive environment. The English composition course features Mexican American/ Latino literature; the Human Career Development class helps each student plan their class schedules and navigate the university application process. See course descriptions for ENGWR 300 and HCD 318. One unit of the Reading Center and one unit of the Writing Center will be required. Sign up using the one class number listed for the Learning Community; you will receive credit and a grade for each individual course listed in the Learning Community.
