Description: This course is the second course required for the Commercial/Residential Electrician Trainee program. Topics include AC theory; AC and DC generation, phase, and circuit mathematical calculations; calculating inductance, capacitance, and reactance in series, parallel and series-parallel circuits. It also includes use of meters in different applications of alternating current. This course provides a basic introduction to electronics used in electrical installations; and an introduction and application of the National Electrical Code to job-site electrical installations.
